Off topic, but are you getting injections for this? My wife works in the «eye section» of a hospital and that is why I have heard about this illness. Some people are getting injections in the eyes every 4 weeks.
no one had said anything about this.  Perhaps it has to get worse.  It is only in the right eye.

Got some riser and wedge wood under vacuum for 5 days and letting them soak without vacuum while we are on vacation.

Before we left my aluminum stick also showed up for the  :banghead:adjustable test riser I want to make.

Looking forward to getting back to work on it all.

Crooked Stic

Pretty big chunk of aluminum be interesting tosee what you do with that.

Haha. I'm pretty interested too.
I've got some drawings made up and gonna mill a mock up out of wood before I dig into the aluminum.
My idea's definitely don't manifest the way I think they will every time.😁

I got to ask you said wood vac for five days. Did it take that long for the bubbles to quit ? What species of wood?

Jon Lipovac

Curly maple.
(3) 1x4x20
(1) 3/4 x 2x 20
It was still bubbling ever so slightly yet. But was leaving on vacation for 6 days and didn't want to leave it unattended for that long. I've had good results with most woods even though I have probably stopped a little short of complete air evacuation. Since I done put color in the resin, it's hard to tell the level of saturation I get.
I've noticed that all the Maple I've stabilized sinks like a rock and gains significant weight.

Crooked Stic

That is  my experience with Maple also. Soaks so much it don't float. And with color get completely thru even 8/4 pieces. What I been told is the specific gravity of the wood determines if it floats or no and has nothing to do with complete penetration.

#2 under pressure. Hoping the weight is right.

I made a boo boo. using straight taper wedge and got one upside down. If they tiller and hit weight could call it a character flaw ? what you all think?

Either way it will be interesting to see the outcome!

Stickypops your hose looks to be a little limp..

I'd finish the bow and see how it goes.
