Jeff, I use TiteBond II all the time for tips. A quality carpenters glue will do.

Jeff the left limb looks to have a hinge in it. also the other limb needs to bend more near the mod-limb. But for your first bow it looks great.

JEFF B

well sel if i take anymore offit it would be around #30 or 35 any way it aint to bad for my first one. plus when i looked at the grain i saw that it runs off the side a bit. i didnot notice that when i startsd to make it. never mind the next one will have to be good grain but hell this is fun. LOL!!!! about the hinge if i take some wood out of the other limb say about the fade out that should fix that little problem.

Jeff, you would take wood off either side of the hinge, distributing the stress evenly. The right limb could stand to bend in the outer limb. I know your next bow will be better, My first bow looked a lot like yours.

ok dano thank you for the info the next one i will do out of maple if i can lay my hands on some. back to the board. later

The right limb has a flat spot in the mid limb. How long is this bow? you may me able to pike it (shorten) or heat treat the belly to gain a little wieght back. But I would get the tiller right, just because this is your first, it's a good lesson.
