Season is almost over, winter is here, I need some reading suggestions.  What have you read lately that you liked?

If you like vintage bowhunting books before the compound these two are a good choice.

Down page there is a thread started by Wudstix about Don Thomas' latest book. It's as good as any he had written. JMHO etc.

I got Stephen Graf's new book, The Long Fix, for Christmas and I'm really enjoying it.

Anything written by David Petersen.
Lefties are the only ones who hold the bow in the right hand.

If you fish, or just enjoy very good writing, I have all of John Gierach's books. Had to beat.

X2 on David Petersen. And if you can find a copy, Hunting Alaska's Wild Rivers by Jay Massey is exceptional.

Not necessarily all trad, but all bowhunting and hands down my favorite bowhunting book is Barebow by Dennis Dunn. It's a big book, but once you start it it's very difficult to put down. I'm on the my 4th or 5th time through it right now.
Other similar books that I've really enjoyed (again not necessarily trad but good hunting story's with lots of diversity) are Super Slam by Chuck Adam's and Adventure Bowhunter by Tom Miranda.

Any of Gene and Barry's books are golden. Charlie's book is great also.

I also have a couple of Fred's books, outstanding as well.

Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.
