I wish I could put a slide show up on his TV screen.
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Prayers for you this morning, Doc.

Keefer

Killy,
Not sure but wonder if his pastor that Rob said that went down from Pa. would know?
Maybe Rob if he reads this would shed some light on where Doc is ?
I pray he is well cared for and comfortable ...

Doc had the camp at Baltimore that everybody came to. Lots of good times under the tarp. There was always one good thunderstorm during that weekend, and the tarp stood firm. We all did duty sloshing water off the edges. Great meals, always a campfire, great times.

But DO NOT leave your chair there overnight! That is Doc's space, and your chair would be found somewhere else come morning, fending for itself covered with dew and spiderwebs.

I was under the impression that he was at home. Is he in a hospital? I would feel so much better if he is.

I talked to him yesterday. I had a very hard time understanding him but could tell he was trying to be himself. Been really worried about him. If he is an hospital that would be some comfort to me.

For over a decade I've had almost daily email conversations with Dave.

Within the last week, Dave's condition has worsened to the point of almost immobility.  Today, with the help of his Pastor, who drove down from PA, he was hospitalized and now made as comfortable as possible with pain meds.

Dave could surely use our prayers.

Update, Rob?

Just awaiting to hear back from Pastor Carl - being its Sunday, might take a tad longer.

Yeah, being it's a work day and ya don't want to call him at his office.  ;)

To all you folks who know Doc personally,it's good to read the stories and see the pictures. Thanks to All for sharing.

Dave is in Greeneville Community Hospital East, Greeneville, TN, room 3343.

He is in comfort care, which is basically hospice care.

He is only getting pain meds to keep him comfortable.

Killy I know Doc appreciates these pictures and if he was able I'm sure he would be joining in with some "Ornery" sayings lol.
When he text me a few weeks ago he pretty much said he was "Done" and took care of things that needed to be settled I take it.
From our texts and emails I was under the impression he didn't want anymore Treatments cause the cancer has took over and just spreading like crazy and pain meds just were not working for him .
I'm not sure what the comfort care is giving him but I hope he is resting up well and preparing his journey to his Forever Home in Heaven.
I can only imagine after he meets Jesus he will see his friend Bernie and share some good times they had here .
Killy I'm glad you got to visit him cause I never had the chance but he was there with all 3 of our adoptions and that is how I got to know Doc.
I have a letter he sent me when he returned a little "Smurth " figure with a bow in his hand that our girls sent him .I'll see if I can get a picture up of it for you all to read.
Prayers for our good friend "Doc Nock" .....

Our youngest was getting a finger moved to where a thumb would of been due to being born with no thumbs .She also has had a hole in her heart repaired and then had a rod installed to help straighten out her other arm.
Doc sent the smurth figure back to help make her feel better .
Here is his letter we saved.[attachment=1,msg2963333]

Doc was so happy to see these pictures of her progress and knowing the Prayers were indeed answered he and others were sending daily.
