Here is my sinew backed mulberry bow that I just finished up just in time. It is 65" long. It is 1-1/2" wide at the fades then tapers down 7/16 of an inch wide at the tips. It is 48lbs. at 28". I did flip the tips just a little at the ends as you can see. The top limb is an  inch and a half longer than the bottom. The tips have overlays of Gabon Ebony. This is the first successful sinew bow I have done. I tried an eastern red cedar with sinew and it blew up. Sinew is totally amazing stuff. There are 2 layers of sinew  and I darkened it with brown shoe polish then sealed it with several coats of polly. And the good part about it is the first time I took it hunting I was rewarded.

Sorry guys I can't figure out how to send pictures from photobucket to here.

SIXFOOTER

Over on Photobucket, copy the stuff in the IMG CODE window and paste it over here. Pretty simple

Dean Marlow

It won't let me paste my pictures. I click  on the last code and it says copied. When I go to paste the picture it won't let us. Got any ideas? Dean

I like it.  I have been putting it off, but I have some mulberry billets I recurved.  I should get on that bow..

Thanks guys for the nice compliments. I am mainly an osage man but I am impressed with mulberry. It is definently lighter in weight compared to osage. It is a beautiful wood when sanded and finished. My main drawback of Mulberry is pin knot's. It seems mulberry in my neck of the woods has a-lot of pins. There are several pins on this bow.Hoping the sinew will help in keeping the problems with pins under control. Dean
