You go Boy!!! Great looking bird! He looks much better than the one I took with the front windshield of my Chevy this morning. Truck survived with less dammage than the Gobbler. Way to go Guru! CK

Nice!  Gobblers with the bow are so cool, and to get the one that got away before is even sweeter.  Sure looks like more than 16# though - that's a nice bird!  :notworthy:

beautiful bird, i'll tell ya the big birds in NY this year are light. i got a 3 year old bird and it weighed in at 17lb!!

Let me guess the story goes like this....

The bird comes into the set up and Curt takes the shot only to miss again when the bird gets tangled in the string tracker line and strangles itself to death.  While flopping on the ground virtually plucking itself trying to break free of the line it managed to hook a spur in its gut and clean itself too.  

The hardest part was laying all the feathers back on the bird so Curt could get a picture.  

Nice job Curt. You are the Guru.   :D
