Nice bear!
I generally like to use bows in the 50-52 lb range. But I recently traded into a 44# Liberty Edge. It seems to fit me quite well. I am going to wait until after hunting season to tune it, but I see possibilities with this bow.

If I ever try 3D, I think this is the bow for that.

Spot and Stalk P&Y Mulie two weeks ago. Approx. 15 yd shot. 42# Bear B mag TD, 2016 arrow Zwickey Delta
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.

Nice one Gun!

I always look forward to this thread every year as I currently struggle to get my new 43@28 Toelke Pika tuned and ready for the Michigan October Opener. Hopefully this is the year that I can contribute to this thread!

42# Hickory Selfbow, No Mercy Broadhead, Suzanne St Charles Doug Fir arrow, 16 yard shot, 85 yard track. No exit wound on this one as the arrow entered the rib cage a little back but drove forward. Not much blood. Generally this set up results on a complete pass through.

The above taken from my favorite stand, and below a couple selfbows and one in progress. On the top is ol' "Silent Green", my go-to hunting bow.
