I just learned that Dave Dwyer passed away yesterday. For those in the Midwest- you're likely to be familiar with his bows- he made really good bows and I would like to have one. And Sue his wife made basket quivers of very high quality.
Someone bought his business tho I do not know who that person is.

Kurt Demmerly at Intrepid Longbows in Wisconsin is now building the Endeavor and Dauntless models formerly built by Dwyer Longbows. Bamboo limb cores are standard.
Got this from another site. Dave was a great guy.

I have had the pleasure of shooting one of his bows years ago. It was excellent! Prayers for Dave's soul and his family during this difficult time.

I had one of her basket quivers and wish I still had it! They would always be at the trad shoots here in mid west. Sorry to hear!

Prayers up for the family.
I always admired his bows and longed to have one - I procrastinated too long.

That's too bad! I always wanted to try an Endeavor. They looked really unique.

Peace and prayers for family and loved ones.

I met Dave, Sue and Cory early on.   I picked up an original longbow the first time the Dwyer's came to the Coon Rapids shoot.  Had that bow for a long time.   Latter ordered another original longbow.   My favorite design.   Smooth shooting.  Super quiet.  I had thought about ordering a lighter weight original but by that time Dave had stopped building bows.  We all seem to be getting older, our time here is certainly short, enjoy the blessings one has.....

Still have and use the basket quiver Sue made.

Bought an Endeaver from Dave years back. It was a beautiful bow. Sold it to a gent up in Minn. I had wonderful conversations with Dave at several functions in Wi.
He was a terror on whitetails. He usually came with many pictures. Miss those talks.  Rest in peace Dave.
