How bout some photos of Christmas presents you are building in your shop? I know some of you guys are crafty...

Here is one I built for my grandson for his vast collection of hot wheels cars and other toy cars and trucks.

I'm working on a mud kitchen for my daughter's kids. Never heard of such a thing till she asked me. IMG_4399.jpeg

Here is a clock I put together from a cool piece of black walnut for my daughter.

Great Christmas gifts guys.
Here are a couple of mine. I've been learning to turn bowls.

The walnut one will be a gift, the light one will stay with me since it has a couple of tiny cracks. I'm working on something else for my Mom. I'll post a picture if I get it done in time.

I made these as a gift to myself... 😉
For the price of three pieces of high speed steel I have a set of tools that would have cost me three or four hundred dollars.
Plus, it's more fun to make my own tools when I can.

I regret getting rid of my lathe years ago. I always enjoyed turning out fun projects with those things. Never did get into doing bowls. Nice work on those!

Thanks Kirk. I had a crappy lathe years ago but I never really learned to use it. A couple of years ago I bought a small one and I had such a good time making game calls and small pieces that I bought a big one last winter.
Thanks for starting this thread.

I saw photos of your latest open boat. Quite a change from the StarCraft boats with cabins. Did you get rid of that big StarCraft? or did you hang on to it?

Beautiful table and chair job... I'll bet that did take some time...    :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:

Kirk, ya we sold the chieftain. Just added the last bling to the RH pro guide model. Perfect boat for us. I can even pull bow wood off the secluded beaches with it. As long as they are not buried, !!
