Consistency trick- glass thickness

I tried to explain this a couple times here, but its tough to do without a visual. Guys that are coming up with seriously out of tiller bows, and are missing draw weight without explanation. Here is a little trick to making things more consistent. You wouldn't think there is that much difference in the glass thickness, but you might be surprised once you start checking it...i've seen it as much as .006 from one end of a 6' piece to the other before. granted... it's typically closer than that. but it pays off checking it and matching things up prior to your lay up.   This could help you out more than you think.

Another little consistency  trick is buying your glass in larger quantities if you can. Buying just a few pieces as needed can throw your draw weight off sometimes. I've been guilty of that myself the last couple years, and not building as many bows.
