Here are a couple of hero pics and others from my 2023 Whitetail season. I hunted hard as I do each season. This season shooting opportunities were harder to earn than the past several. At times it seemed like I was just grinding out time waiting for them to occur. My hunting partner tagged a nice young buck in November. That gave the new e-bike and trailer its first work out. Then, with the hunting getting really tough after rifle season was over, I put a tag on a spike. I felt as much elation and joy with the harvest of the spike as I have with any mature buck I have ever harvested.

After several minutes of snort wheezes and posturing, these two guys realize they're actually friends.

With that settled, one walks off, and the other beds down about forty yards away from me.

Last guy to come by. Always happy to get deer within shooting range in January. This young buck was as wired up as any deer I've had at close range. The hunting pressure really gave him an education.

He's also a little bit leaner than he was in this photo from late October.

Good hunting to you all.
May the wind be your friend, and may your arrows fly true,
