2023 Bow Swap Progress Thread - Complete

I'm getting closer on mine. Tiller's good. Had a hiccup but it isn't as bad as I feared. Shot the bow a bunch today and working to get her tamed as far as handshock. It's not awful especially with heavy arrows but I can get it better. Tuning, finessing the tiller, some fluff on the string and losing mass at the tips ought to do it. I wish I had some low stretch string material. I read that helps a lot too. Here's a little video about handshock.

Stabbed myself in the hand last week cleaning out dishwasher so I can get back to tillering this weekend.

Well, I got the Swap Bow that I built for Stic repaired and packaged up.

I used Pirateship.com to pay for the postage and I recommend everyone look into this for themselves.
When I sent it the first time via USPS, I paid almost $29 to ship it.
Through Pirateship.com it is going back to him via UPS for less than $9.

My swap bow is shooting pretty sweet now. I'm pondering the finish at this point. I have a new video about edited. She's such a good shooter for me, it's going to be tough to let her go.

Got the new limbs on a I hit weight !

Spent the evening sanding. Had a little bit of tillering to do but it came in real nice. Got some more finish sanding to do in the morning and it will be ready for the finish. Should ship this week!

2 coats of automotive clear, now a lot of sanding. And then final coat.

Sanded the automotive clear, 3 coats of matte and time to make a string. Thumb added for reference.
