I'm looking for recommendations for a bowyer to replace some snake skins on one of my longbows. I've always hated the looks of these skins and looking to replace them with copperhead skins. Any recommendations would be awesome!

Darren you might also look through the Sponser Links on trad Gang at the Bowyers listed thier.See who does snakeskins. They often list it in upgrades if they do skins.

Bob Morrison used to do a bunch of them and there probably is nobody any better.  He sold his archery business about 6 years ago but I think he still did Skins afterward.

Bob does Amazing work on skins ! Is there any contact information for him ?

Bob Morrison is a member here.  Seems like he posted recently (in the last couple months) in the PowWow.  His username is his name.  Maybe send him a private message (pm).

Another option is Limbsations.... They are crisp and clean, and last awhile.... Its taking the old snake skins off that is troublesome. I wouldn't touch a project like that myself...

They typically put them on with tite bond white glue, and finish them with "True Oil".  You may want to try that first. Putting a couple coats of oil on them might bring them back to life.    Kirk
