Hello all , wishing health to everyone . I am new to recurves ,and got a Samick Sage 62"/ 40# for form work . It came with a raised rest and tapped for a plunger . My question is , would it hurt to shoot it off the shelf ?it has a radius cut shelf. Thanks

Won't hurt at all.

Put on a piece of leather for the side plate and your choice for the arrow rest, leather, feather rest, etc.

I use Velcro the soft side for all my bows.
