Scored this evening on this ol girl. I'd been kicking myself for 10 minutes because I'd let a dandy 5x5 buck walk by, (we only get one tag here and it's early). She had really bad timing... Toelke Whip, 57#, AD Trad, 160 Griz, this was the arrow my buddy Mike Gerardi gave me that I've shot like the last half dozen critters with and she rolled over on it making it a 3 piece arrow...      I'll have to break another arrow out of the quiver now.  ;)

Great job Doug! I passed on a dandy the first night out as well. As he was walking away I was wondering if that was the right thing to do.

I would have to say that you got your money  out of that arrow. Good job buddy       . No doubt that 5X5 is in trouble next time.

Congrats on a great looking doe, Doug.  It hurts to lose a special arrow, but it gave its life doing what it was destined to do.  At least you still have the pieces for an honorable display.

Well done!  She'll probably be more tasty than that old 5 x 5 anyway!     :clapper:

That might be true in some cases, but Mrs.Campbell can make old shoe leather taste like a well seasoned RibEye.
