Stuck in Dallas for 2 weeks for work so I brought my 2pc Big Jim Buff and drove a bit south for the weekend to hunt hogs with a friend of mine- all free range spot and stalk and still hunting through heavy cover. Got pretty lucky right off the bat and found a group Friday evening after only going out for the last 30 min of light.  Ended up getting a 5 yd shot on this boar, left him until morning since it wasn't a great shot but found him stone dead in the morning 30 yds away.  Meat was still great thanks to the cold and now my only problem is keeping it frozen for another week in the hotel room!  Good problem to have!

Good Shootn'!

I was hunting Ft. Stewart back in the early 70's and staying in a motel in Hinesville, Ga. (right outside of Stewart). Killed a big boar hog and had to keep it in the motel room for the wk. I was adding ice to the cooler as it melted to draw the stench out and I can assure you the motel room had an order when I left.

That's a dandy hog and the elk on your profile pic is sweet too. Congrats

I always was curious about who would win, buffalo or wild boar, I guess we now know.
