If you were in my neck of the woods, anyhow. Oct 12th, I got this hen...
And then on the 16th, this gobbler found the pointy end of an arrow....
Both taken with Pronghorn t/d and cedar arrows with Magnus heads.

I've heard it said that Christianity is a crutch.  To me, it's a walking stick to use on the path of life.

Good stuff.  What's the story on those birds?  How'd you get'em?

Dax,
Both birds were stalked. I watched the flock that the hen was in for a long time before I could get close enough for a shot, and she was the closest bird when I got a chance. The gobbler was a pretty easy bird; he had a couple of hens with him and they went over a little rise, so I was able to make a run at them and he was one nervous turkey when I took the shot at about 15 yards. He ran/flopped about another 20 yards, and I put a second arrow in him to finish the job.
Randy,
Just in case I wear out the Pronghorn, I have a new Big Jim Thunderchild on order.    :bigsmyl:   Yesterday, I ran into a guy that met you when you took your elk to the processor in Sheridan; small world.
