First bear shot on opening day in Wisconsin. After watching him for ten minutes he presented a great shot opportunity that I just couldn't pass up. He only went 18 yards after the broadheadd passed through and stopped on the far elbow. A homemade cart hauled him out 1 1\\2 miles behind my mountain bike(MPG=23 raw almonds, handful of blueberries and 8oz. water per mile)Also note the picture of the bear I walked up to within 17 yards the week before hunting,he would not leave the bait and posed for a nice picture.Big River longbow by John McDonald 51# 66", 645 grain 1918xx75,2 blade Zwickey delta. Shot appears steeper than it is due to aluminum arrow bent like a "u" in cavity.  http://s1012.photobucket.com/albums/af245/gordydog/     http://s1012.photobucket.com/albums/af245/gordydog/       http://s1012.photobucket.com/home/gordydog/indexDelta.http://s1012.photobucket.com/home/gordydog/index

Nice pix. Thanks for sharing. Looks like you figured out how to get away from the crowds.
It's really simple. Just don't take those borderline shots. Tomorrow is another day.
