My First with Trad !!!!

Hi every one. My wife and I went out hunting yesterday morning. The day started very cool and by 10 am it was warm out and we were getting rid of extra sweaters. Well we were gone for deer and we both decided while stalking if you see small game you can take it. Well after about 2 hours of walking and stalking we decided to head back to the parking lot and see how each other done. As I was walking down a tree line my wife was at the end of it and was waiting for me to arrive. As I got closer she came up and said I didn't get it the bird is still there try and shoot it. As I walked around the tree I knocked a small game point instead of using the broad head I alread had waiting to use. I looked at the ground and the bird was about to fly away!!! I looked at the red cheek part on the head and achored..... I don't even remember the release I saw the bird on the ground and I couldn't believe it... my first trad harvest and it was a chukar!!!! I am shooting a bear grizzly @45#
