Small Chopper

I finished this one up this week. I made it to be a small chopper to either wear on your belt or carry in your pack. The steel is 3/16" 1095. It has elk scales and 3/16" peened steel pins. The blade is 4 3/4" long and the knife is 8 3/4" long overall.

Looks like it should be about perfect for most skinning and fleshing chores as well.

I like that a lot. Needs to be about 2 to 3 times that big to be a good chopper, but probably a heck of a good skinner.   :D  
I really like the rustic finish and the elk antler slabs.

Thanks guys. Darcy, I thought about making it a bit bigger but settled on this size just for carrying convenience. I'm going on a weekend hunt/camp out In a couple weeks, I will get a chance to test it out then and see how is performs. I might have to end up making a bigger one like you said!
