This is a pretty big Bowie with some stacked Walnut which I dyed with leather dye and sealed with Danish Oil. The 10-1/2 inch blade is of 80crv2 steel. The fittings are forged stainless.

Beautiful knife Lin.  I like that idea of stacked wood.  I've stacked cork but never thought of stacking wood.  Idea makes for all sorts of combinations.  I'm always amazed at how you make me see things differently!  Thanks...Jeff

I really like the look of this Knife Lin, the walnut looks just like new stacked leather. The little bit of forge marks sure makes the rest of the knife so perfect.

Just awesome, I love the forge marks left in the blade. Pretty neat handle as well.

I can't find a single thing that isn't just right on that knife...everything belongs and complements each other.  Of course, I haven't seen a knife of yours yet that the same thing couldn't be said for.  I think the forge marks on the blade make the handle stand out and visa versa...they balance each other very, very well.  Your attention to detail and the execution you achieve are really beyond top shelf.

WOW.......just beautiful!!!

Another perfect knife from you! Love the stacked walnut. Looks like leather only better. Did you use two different shades of dye?

Man I would love to own that. You sir are a master craftsman, no pun intended to the ABS certification.

Thanks guys.

Bodork, When I stacked the layers of walnut, I tuned each piece 90 degrees from each other. Just alternated them. This means that the light reflects off of the pieces different but in a regular pattern. The stain is the same.

As always, a beautiful knife.  Every one you turn out is more fetching than the last one.
