Very nice. I make nearly all of my knives of hidden tang construction, but dont ever solder a tang on that close to the ricasso. In fact, most are solid tang. Still, very nice video.

What is a ricasso?

The ricasso is the area of the blade immediately in front of the guard, where the name or brand is stamped. Sorry   .

I would not want to rely on solder at such a critical area. Silver solder is good stuff though. I'm sure he knows what he's doing.
