Know your game laws people and not just your state ones. Federal laws are everywhere and supersede most everything else.

Possession of Raptor feathers is illegal without very special permits or unless you are a native American and then for only for very specific things. It doesn't matter if you found it or not, it's against the law.

Don't be shooting songbirds most all of them are federally protected. Do a Google search and learn them.

To many folks post things that only can get them in trouble and make us all look bad. Ignorance is not a defense.

I don't mean to be harsh on folks but we need to take responsibility for our actions and knowing the law is each hunter's responsibility period.

I need to ask isn't anyone (myself included)that is born in America a "native american"?

I was born in St. Louis, Missouri.  LOL

I saw the picture....and was guilty myself this past weekend....

Was at a 3D shoot, picked up a hawk feather and stuck it in my hatband...then someone reminded me...

thanks for the reminder, David

Please know your game seasons/limits. Just a reminder.

I'm a native American, too. Born in NC. Guess I'm ok for hawk feathers.

Try explaining such to the Feds folks. Funny is great at the right times, but we get way to many threads of guys with pics doing things they should know better than to do. Just learn your state regs. There are others who read these boards and they have funds just for bringing cases against folks who do such things. Trying to protect some folks from themselves is all.
