Camera help!!

Can any of you recommend a camera that you don't have to be an Einstein to use. I'm looking in the $300 range. I want really good pics,if its possible in that price range. Anyone have the Samsung galaxy camera (just one we looked at) likes dislikes. Thank you,from a photo challenged bowhunter.
