I have a problem with the compact type cameras, those that utilize a screen on the back as a viewfinder.  The only time I where glasses is for reading or looking at stuff close up.  When I use this type of camera, I need glasses to see the screen, but then I can't see my subject. Putting on/taking off glasses is a lot of movement if you are trying be unnoticed. Through-the-lens viewfinders are fine, but not available on compacts.  Any suggestions?

When in the field I just use the zoom feature to blow up the subject of any pixs I take to make sure its in focus. I still blow it but that has helped me some. I'm looking at one of the new compacts with the bigger screen......dont know why but I gotta keep holding the screen further and further away to see it right.   :saywhat:

You can attach a loupe to your LCD screen which basically turns the LCD into a view finder. Mainly used for shooting video with a DSLR where the viewfinder is disabled in video mode. They start at about $100 and go way up from there so kinda pricy to buy for an inexpensive consumer digital camera but they do work. You won't get a diopter on the cheaper models.

Thanks, Tom.  I'm going to have to check out a loupe.
