Which Camera?

Well I have finally decided to take the plunge and get a SLR, but what should i get? At costco they have a Canon Rebel XTi 10.1 mp, that comes with two lenses for 950.00 i think it was. They also have a Nikon D40x 10.2 mp that also comes with two lenses for around the same price. is one of these the better choice for general outdoor photography and of course taking pictures of the new baby. or is there a better choice other than these two. i like the idea of getting two lenses right off the bat. thanks, dan.
