I read on another site that Dean was not doing well. My prayers go out to him. He is an Icon in our sport.........

Met the man once at Denton Hill, a long, long time ago...

I heard this about him a long time ago, then it went silent... hope it's not another relapse or such..

Best to him according to God's Will

After watching Dean shoot and talk about archery in a shooting video, I was inspired to build my own bow and use wooden arrows. His gentle no nonsense way to shoot is a pleasure to watch and learn from. I did have the privilege to exchange some emails with him and his generosity was first rate. Prayers out to Dean and his family, God Bless.

Amen & prayers for God's grace
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

I received word Dean passed from this world today. Please everyone keep Mary and his family in your prayers.
Time spent alone in the woods puts you closer to God.

Praying he knew what Jesus did for him and accepted that sacrifice. Prayers for his family for comfort.

We're loosing a lot of those we knew or were leaders in Trad when some of us started out or in our formative years of learning...

I guess that says some of us are old enough now to be in the hopper?!

I echo Benbow's hope.  I didn't know Dean well, just bought a few things from him and enjoyed chatting at Denton Hill...YEARS ago...

Prayers for peace to those left behind!

I saw on LW that he passed on the 4th of Nov. If so RIP, he was a great mentor and ambassador for the sport we love so much...........
