Grandma was operated on for a second time in an effort to safe her leg yesterday.  She has a sore from diabetes on her foot that wasn't healing and became infected with gang green.  Dr's are trying to mine veins in her body and put them in her leg to promote blood flow in order to heal the wound.

The first operation failed and they went in again.  she is extremely allergic to pain killers and comes off anesthesia poorly due to this allergy.  Last night she looked and verbalized the end was imminent.

please pray for a full recovery.  also pray that her leg is saved.  part of it is selfish though because I know if they remove the leg, we have little options for her, and I do not want her to go to a nursing home.  we just got her settled into an apartment from her house designed for easier living, to rip her away from that place, where she has met friends and has socialization and activities, would be difficult for everyone.
Relax,

You'll live longer!
