A Chat with Dave Leuscher Bear 1336

Had the delight today of a call from Dave.

He sounded pretty good to start, then I could tell he was struggling some so we cut it off.

He asked to share his thanks for prayers. He's been sent home for a few weeks to see if he can get his strength up. He had such fluid build up due to the heart not working well, and the diuretic they gave him screwed up his kidneys some, so now he's fighting that as well... and his sugar is all over the place.

He covets your continued prayers. He goes back 2/7 to see if his body is strong enough for the bypass surgery and his kidneys are functioning better on their own.

It was wonderful to hear his voice. He's a good man and a good friend.

Lord, Thy Will be done, but we beseech you on behalf of all those in need posted here to receive your Grace and Mercy and healing. Amen.

Thanks for the update, Dave is always on my prayers and it is funny that I have my Type1 B handle with serial #1336 like is handle name on here.

Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I have been sent home to regain some of my strengh to see if surgery in possible. I got back to the heart doctors on 1/25 and to the surgeon on 2/7. I really appricate all the prayers, and text messages and I ask that you continue to keep me in your prayers.

You got them, David! Rome wasn't built in a day and as far as they let you get "down", it might take a bit to build you back up...

Lord works in His time, not ours!

Guess he got home and is resting.

I got a great text: simply said, "Doc says I'm getting stronger and my kidney function is improving!"

Keep prayers coming for our Amigo... he's a long way from being out of the woods yet, but great news, none the less!
