Our son who has been disabled since he developed meningitis at 3 months old turned 31 years old last month. All the years of medications to help control seizures and keep him going have finally taken thier toll. His body is shutting down! We have finally realized that all we can do is to keep him comfortable until the Lord calls him home. He was very close Sunday but bounced back.
Seeing him in pain is tough to take!

The Dr's told us he would possibly live to be 6 years old or so and he has far surpassed that. It feels so selfish to wish it would end for him. We know he will be in the hands of the Lord soon where he will suffer NO more!!!
It just tears me up to see him in pain knowing there is nothing I can do but to Pray and wait.

Thanks for your Prayers and support!!

Tom,

This is a very hard time for  you and your family, and my prayers go out for you, your son and your family.

May the Lord bless him and keep close at His side.

Prayers for your son, you and your family. It's such a comfort to know that; the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers. In Heaven there will be no more sickness, pain or sorrow but all will be peace, joy and happiness through out eternity. Thank the good Lord, no one will be disabled there.

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

God bless your son, you and your family. It takes a strong father to do the work such as you have done. I pray the Lord will ease your family's pain and your son's suffering. Heaven awaits him.

It is not, in my view, selfish to wish a peaceful end for your son's suffering, Tom.  Quite teh contrary. It would be selfish to wish to hold onto him a bit longer for your own peace.

Soon your son will be with God's Son and standing before Him & made perfect in all ways.

May the Holy Spirit wrap arms around all of you and keep you, bless you and make His face to shine upon you and grant you all peace, According to His will.

Thanks for your Prayers and kind words.

Matthew went to be with the Lord this afternoon and is finally at Peace. The past couple of days watching him fight were tough but he can now finally rest.

Thanks again,

Tom, my prayers are with you.  May God be with you all during this time.  May you experience the love and presence of God through His Holy Spirit.  May the angels stand around your son.
Be kind and merciful. Let no one ever come to you without coming away better and happier. -Mother Teresa

Tom,
I believe that your son now stands before our Lord, perfect in all ways, mind, body and spirit.

My prayers are now with you and your wife/family as you deal with his passing. I pray for continued peace now, and for healing from the times of challenge.

May God walk with you, hold you when needed and I pray that you will both always turn your face toward Him sharing your gratitude for taking your son home.

What can mortal words accomplish, but I know this I have thought small and the power of God is endless. I pray for intercession of the angels on your behalf and all of your family. I respect you more than words can convey. God Bless
