Please pray for the family of a young man killed in Afganistan. He leaves behind a young wife and grieving mother. His father passed away a week after he was deployed and his grandmother a week later. He had been married for a year and had only been able to spend about 4 weeks with his wife. She is devastated and in need of our prayers. Please join with me in lifting this family up and bathing them in our prayers, as well as the other brave soldiers fighting for our freedoms.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

Thank you Terry for letting us know, Frank and I are praying for this young family of this young man who has given everything for all of us to be able to have our freedom as well as others across the world. My heart aches for them and pray for God's comfort that only He can give.

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

As your tag line suggestes, Terry, "may the Lord lift up this young bride and those who loved this young man as on the "wings of eagles."

Lord, watch over and protect all those who serve far away and in harm's way, and yet, seem to get so little recognition for their hard work and sacrifices.

Be with those who mourn and truly, fill them with Your Holy Spirit that they might see your face shining on them and bring them peace. Amen.
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Prayers from Tennessee--that is very sad.  May the family seek and find comfort in the Lord.
