Prayers sent to have trouble kicked out of your family's life and that it is replaced with peace, health, comfort, and God's love.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Ken, Your family is in our prayers brother, please let us know if ever we can help with anything and we do understand the cancer as we lost Frank's dad and his grandmother to it and was a battle but knowing the suffering is no longer, gives you a peace beyond explanation.

We pray the Lord comforts and holds her until she is with Him in eternal joy and suffering no more and that you and your family are comforted as well during this time.

Also praying for your uncle's health and your cousin that they both will be safe and that the Lord is with them through these trials no matter what they are facing as He does know everything.

And for you Ken that you don't go through the stress with all of this at once and that you can have the comfort knowing that God is in complete control and He does hear us.

Your sister,
Shell

Ken,

Thanks for sharing with us and allowing us to shoulder some of the prayer burden with you.

Lord, you know this family's trials. You know each one's needs. Only you can bring the peace they desire and strengthen them through these difficult times.  We ask that you send your Holy Spirit to comfort, console and guide each of them according to their need and Your Will, Lord. Amen.

Ken,

I have a preacher friend who does preacher (and lay people) counseling. He tells a story of one preacher who came to him lamenting, "All of a sudden, my life is out of my control...and I want to get it back in line..."

My preacher/counselor friend shares that he says back to them person, "First thing we have to deal with is your dilusion that you EVER had control of life!"

Sounds kinda "smart butt" but his point is that in reality, we are never in control... which is maybe why God sent his Son, huh?  When we truly accept how little control we have, it's not as hard to give it "over to God." Sure has helped me.

I deeply respect your desire to take on your loved one's pain, but perhaps being strong in faith with them and in front of them will do them more good.

Prayers for peace, strength, discernment all from the Holy Spirit for each of your family members in trial and for all those who love them.

Shalom, brother...shalom.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!
