My turn. I received a call from my daughter who's had drug & alcohol problems and has been sober for over 6 months. (BIG PRAISE) But because of her problems her children were taken from her and placed in the custody of my ex. My ex slipped, fell and seriously broke her leg and will have to give up custody of the girls which is really hard on my daughter. Since I'm not in the state the grandkids are living I can not take custody of them. I guess what I'd like is 1st that my daughter not be overwhelmed by this and return to the addictions. 2nd The granddaughters be placed with a God fearing family if there is no other way. 3rd My ex not loose her foot nor loose the use of her leg. 4th That my ex's family would lighten up on my daughter because they're as much responsible for her problems as she is. (genetics and attitude) 5th For grace for me to love and trust Jesus through all of this.
Thanks.

Benson,

I remember you sharing some of this some time back about the daughter and girls.  Praises to Him who can do All for helping your daughter remain sober. It often takes a few "reality checks" for folks to make it permanently sober, so don't give up hope there if a crisis throws her for a loop momentarily.

I echo your prayers, for your ex-wife, her healing, wisdom for the courts in helping place these children of God, for your ex's family's growth in wisdom and grace and for your own growth.

You were there for me always throughout my own trial of 29+ months...

If you meed more'n prayers, shoot me an email and we'll set a time to talk by phone.

Perhaps you could, (just a thought) take a quiet moment in prayer and even though out of state, open your heart to the judge, etc in a letter.

Prayers up!

Thanks for your prayers. I am so looking forward to meeting all my brothers and sisters in Christ. It would be great to have that happen in this life but it will be totally awesome in Heaven.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!
