I was gifted a really nice Sanders Oneida recurve by a fellow Tradgang and PBS member.  I don't know a whole lot about Sanders but I'm going to put this bow in the mid to late 50's. 60" 40#@28" maple riser, green mesh glass wrapped leather grip. Sanders and Oneida decals. The bow is in beautiful condition. I'm not sure how to post pics on here anymore or I'd have them up. Any additional info would be greatly appreciated. Or any correction in my assumptions are welcome.

Use Imgur to post photos. Very simple

Sanders was located in Cortland NY and were known for wild designs in the risers and somewhat sub par performance. One Bowyer who made the bows was Emil Pikula. They for sure are some of the most interesting vintage recurve bows you will ever see.

I've seen the one with the thumb hole!!  This one looks pretty much like your typical bow of the time.

I have a couple. One has a large hole in the riser that your arm goes thru. It does not shoot the greatest and it will tear your arm up without a good armguard. But it sure gets some attention at the range. You have an early bow. In the 60's they had the Classic, Swift, and Sportster models. All had a forward grip.

Sub par performance? I suggest you research the Sanders Swift.

Sub par performance was a term used in vintage archery publications years ago, not my opinion at all.
