Assuming I could find one, does anybody know whether a Bear single  spring arm bow quiver, made to work with the Converta-bracket and /stabilizer bushing on post-1970's Bears , work without a converta bracket by securing the lower slotted flange directly to the riser of late 50's/early 60's Bear  bows equipped with threaded quiver bushings  in the side of the riser below the grip, screwing through the slot?

Bear quivers are all I use, and I never use the Converta system. I have a brass thumb screw in the lower bushing, and slide and tighten the bracket with that. Pad the bottom bracket so it doesn't scratch the bow and you're set.

...By the way, if you can't find any quivers here, check the auction site.

Thanks, Mike. That's exactly what I needed to know. Now its a matter of watching for a LH single arm to come on the market. Worst case scenario, I can get ahold of a LH dual spring arm and replace the lower arm with a properly formed lower attachment bracket. the Bear spring arm quivers were always quieter than any others I tried, especially compared to the single slot/ attached receiver  Kwikee and similar plastic models.

I have a few single spring arm quivers and not all of them work when I screw the bottom bracket directly to the side of the riser.  The problem is that the back of the quiver is too close and the arrows on the back side hit the lower limb.  This is one of the later models, not the ones specifically made to fit the Converta bracket adapter.  I tried bending the bracket but I broke one off.

Good point, Phil. I was thinking that if I have to make a lower bracket to fit, I will use aluminum stock rather than steel .
