About an hour ago I bought a Bear cub longbow that has two or three sub surface vertical stress lines on it but is very clean.  It has a owner made what I would call a mistake.  The owner took a  round file to the side plate at the shelf. My guess is he was shooting left and did it to bring the arrow in to the right.  It was done very professionally but it is still a mistake  IMO.  The bow looks to have the original leather grip which is in very nice condition.  All three stickers are on the bow, Cub, Bear and patent pending sticker. It is a right handed bow.

Any thoughts on the age and if I should make a string and string it up?  Sorry can't do photo's but this bow is as clean as it can be for it's age.

Gave $50.00 for it.  And bought a 67 Kodiak in 7 out of 10 condition, 38# for the same amount.
