I recently aquired a early Bear greenstripe that is absolutly flawless, I would say collector conditon, it looks like it was made yesterday. It is a B riser with #1 limbs making a 60" bow but I have a long drw 29" and the bow seems to really be designed for less. I really wanted to take this bow Elk hunting this fall but im having some trouble shooting it consistanly ive played with a few arrow combos but have not got great flight so far. My question is this should I be shooting a A riser and #3 limbs for a longer working limb, I have two widow pchs both 60" and they shoot great and are comfortable but I feel im pushing the Bear to the extreme.

That bow will be fine at a 29" draw. I have two early green stripe Bear TDs and I draw 29" and I assure that you will have no problems. The Bear B riser with #1 limbs is a very accurate and stable bow once it is tuned.

A "B" riser and #3 limbs make a 64" bow. With a 29" draw you will have no problems, and it will be as smoth as silk. Enjoy your new bow.

Corrected post bow is b riser and #1 limbs for a 60" bow. What is everyones guess as to worth of this bow with takedown case and 2 sets of 55lb green tip limbs in almost new shape.

Don, I also have a 29' draw. I don't have any problems shooting my green stripe with #1 limbs.

My usuall bows are two widow pchs both 60" but the widows have 14" risers and alot more limb and are way smoother. This bow seems so slow to me after shooting my widows wich are around 63 and 70 lbs at my draw. I have a large supply of different arrows but most are 300 spine and so far I have yet to find a good combonation with even the light er ones I do have. I love the idea of killing an Elk with this bow but maybe I will pass it on to someone who would enjoy shooting it more.

Green Stripes sure are cool.  You should have no issues with either #1 or #3 at 29" draw.

I'm sort of about the same. My green stripe had #1 limbs and they didn't work for my 29 inch draw. so I sold em and bought #3 limbs which work perfect.
