Earlier this year I purchased a 1971 Fred Bear Super Kodiak from Curt(A fellow Trad Gang Member). I have looked for a 71 for long time, that was the year I was born 42years ago. Maybe it will bring me some good luck in the morning:). I have owned a lot of "Custom" bows over the years, but swear this is one of the best shooting bows I have ever owned! Fred Bear knew what he was doing when he made this one  ;)

I like the 64" longer limbed but either way the SK's are certainly one of the finer shooting ole Bears and shoot just as fine as many of the custom's I own. Good Luck!!
Any Pics??

That wounds like fun.  I was born in 1953 so that puts me into a static recurve if I wanted to do the same.  I have one, just not excited about hunting with it.

I may, however, take out the 1959 that I just finished restoring. I haven't even started trying to tune in some broadhead tipped arrows.  Archery deer season opens here in three weeks and it is a mad scramble to get food plots, oat field, stands, feeders, etc. all ready.

I have the same idea, although in my case it'll be a '63 Kodiak or Griz - when I find it.

Give us a full report when you get back and good luck!
