What is the correct brace height for this bow and year it was made. Also their are some stress cracks on the belly and need to know if it OK to shoot. thinking about having bowdoc refinish it .

Doug: Your griz is a 1965. Start around 8/14" and work down to find that sweet spot. Never had a problem with stress just as long as its only in the fade outs and not in the working part of the limb. Doc or Rich they are both very good! Your wife will love it

Hey Doug I finaly got caught up tonight.I will be around in the A.M.  talk soon bd

Doug...I think Mike meant 8-1/4" on the brace height.

Stress cracks are common on these old bows.  They will not effect the shooting, and should not cause any further problems.

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.
