It's 68 inches long and the limbs are 1 3/8 at the widest point. There is no shelf. The old gentleman that has it says it was given to him for Christmas around 55 years ago and he can't remember the maker of the bow. It looks like lemon wood or maple with a walnut handle. The grip is wrapped with red suede leather. Does anybody have a clue as to the maker of this longbow?

The plastic wrapping on the edges of the grip were common on old Indian Archery longbows. I would say Indian Archery because of that. Late 50's or early 60's.
