A good friend gave me 5 bows and also this old Bear quiver. I'm pretty sure that at one time it had buckles to adjust the straps, can someone post a picture of them on a quiver like this so I can work on getting some for mine. This is a cool old quiver and I want to use it, thanks for the help.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Looks like a Nimrod from the mid 50's

Surly someone must have a photo or a link.

It looks like the strap on the right side has a buckle? Can't tell about the left side.

The flap on the bottom can be removed and the arrows pulled out the bottom.

I'll post a picture after a bit.

Does this help any? You may have a tough time finding that buckle if you still need it. Perhaps saddle supplies?
The top of the quiver also comes off and you can use it as a center back top draw if you like.

You have a real collectors item ther.  It is definitly worth going through the trouble to find a good matching buckle to keep it as authentic as you can.

Did you get the top with it.  It snaps on and protects the fletching from the weather, or as Raghorn stated, you can leave it off and use it as a center back quiver.

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.

Yes it has the top with it also, Thanks for posting the pics, now I know what to look for.

No buckles came with it, my wife says I can still get that style buckles, there called conway buckles and can be bought from a saddle or tack shop.

If by 'top' you mean a brown cloth 'cap' that fits over the leather extention-you are indeed fortunate-it took me over 5 years to collect a complete Nimrod like yours.
Good work in finding the buckles. If they do not match PM me I can send you an original.
