Could You Help I.D. This Vintage Recurve?

Hello, I figured if anyone could help me ID this interesting old recurve, it would be Trad Gang members. Very unusual arrow shelf (rest), first one I've ever seen like it. The arrow shelf comes up to a point (like a triangle), not straight or slightly curved, but to a point.  Bow measures approximately 63" straight up, no length marked on it, just number70359134 and 44# - 28". Riser looks like maybe birdseye maple, you can see the weaving in the fiberglass laminate, which is a beautiful golden tan on the outside and black on the inside and it has a heavy leather wrap handle. Any info as to maker or age would be appreciated. If allowed, I'd be glad to email photos to anyone who would like to see them.

That would be a Herter's recurve from about 1959 or 60. I may be off a year or two, but it's a Herter's. CKruse

Your bow was the 134th bow of it's type built in March of 1959.

Herters serial numbers are great!

I'm disappointed...they didn't tell you what kind of string it has, or how many times it has been shot.

Hi Guys, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone. My husband is not able to shoot recurves anymore due to his arthritis, has to use a crossbow (sadly, because he loved traditional archery), but he still loves to find the recurves and offer them up to those who can still use them. I spend hours researching them so that I can give the correct information to the archers out there. Didn't mean to mislead anyone, especially you, ckruse, I really did appreciate the information. And thanks to all others who responded. I am thinking of taking up the sport myself, so maybe I'll be holding on to one or two of the ones we come across someday.
