Hello, I am Joshua. I just got my dad's Bear Tigercat bow. it has been sitting in a closet for a long time. I want to get it out and start shooting it. He does not know what string it needs. I been looking online but have not found any info to help me in what bowstrings it needs. It has AMO 62" 35#. If I am right, 62" is for the string length and 35# is the draw weight. If you have any other useful info I would like that as well. thanks.

You need a string for a 62 inch bow, the actual string length will be 58 or 58 1/2 inches. One of the guys here can probably set you up with a nice flemmish string for it. If not you can get a dacron string from any archery shop. Also do not get a fast flight string. The bow is most likely from the 60's and can't handle the shock from a fast flite string. Should be a good shooting bow for you when you find a string. Make sure the string you purchase is for a 62 inch bow not a 62 inch string.
