Got it for $95.00 = 25'00 shipping.

Paid through PayPal.  Now we see if I get it.

No other bidders.

That was the one with three hiles drilled for display:   250255337301

Anyone got any idea what year it is?

PayPal account indicated it went to Sheila Curry

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.

I'm happy for you Jack. I was intrugued by the 3 holes meaning a display bow- but I figured being as I learned it from you it would be unfair to bid against you.

Jack, it's a 59 or 60. But you probably knew that. CKruse

Jack, I take that back. It's either a really early 59 - no coin, or they just didn't bother since it was going to be a display bow anyway! CKruse

Thanks.  I had no idea what it was

Isn't th '59 the one that so many people tout as the best shootign hunting bow Bear ever made.

I know tne 63 & 64 are the other contenders.

I don't know much about pre '63's so I wouls like all the info I can get on this one.

I just hope it is a shooter, and not just a wall hanger.

I had no noticed, no coin?  KQQL!! that means it is even mor rare.

Jack, you are thinking of the 59 KODIAK. The KODIAK SPECIALS are great shooters too. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you end up with a good one. A lot of these DISPLAY marked bows were rejects that couldn't be used as a production bow. I also have heard of several that were just fine. I know you'll look it over good before proceeding too fast with it. What's a hundred bucks anyway!   :knothead:  About 5 gallons of gas, or in my case 4 gallons of diesel!  :banghead:  CKruse

I went into this with my eyes wide open about it being a display bow.  Especiall with the information provided by TRAP.

I really did not expect to win it at $95.00.  Figured someone would outbid me.

If nothing else, I will set it up lake a display and mount it on the wall.  Right over the mantel would be a good spot.  I know my wife would love that.

looks like a 1959 Kodiak Special, the first I have ever seen without a coin. Does it have the black underlays on the belly side of the limb tips?
I was born with nothing and I still have most of it left.

PAPALAPIN

Don't know.  I haven't gotten it yet.  I leave Friday for two weeks vacation.  If I don't have it by then, it wil lbe two weeks before I am back.
