The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.

Blackhawk

Yes, I saw that yesterday and am going to keep an eye on them.

Horney Toad

I saw those.

I bought an alum lam kodiak about 10 years ago when I started collecting. I got it in the mail and shot it about 100 times that night.
Didn't find out until later that I shouldn't have shot it. LOL

really neat bows but remember....Bear Archery only made that model one year...If you shoot them to much and you will find out why..They love to come unglued or one of there other favorite tricks was to look like they were still strung after being unstrung. They will take a set fast.....bowdoc

I picked up one a few years back on the auction site, and I can verify they do take a set.  Mine has the set in the lower limb only, and the top looks fine.  Also the seller sent it to me poorly wrapped and the tip was protruding out the top, with the belly tip overlay delaminated a bit where it fades into the limb.  Still a neet piece.  I bought the pieces that I need to try my own build of one these, (without the aluminum lam that is).

Hey Tim I think Boeing surplus still has some aluminum B-17 bomber skins setting around thier scrap yard....It's only like 7 miles from my place I could run down and pick you up enough to build a bow with....purty cheep to I think !!! No joke my buddy bought a Polar aluminum lam at the flee market...The bow was actually very near if not mint...it looked unshot to me...But did have a little tiny bit of paint from an arrow shaft on the strike plate...or I would have said it was most likely never shot...65# er....he just had to do it...againest all odd's and me saying your nuts do'nt do it...But he did it anyhow. We shoot about 15-20 arrows.I was only drawing it to about 24" maybe myself. Not wanting to get wacked over the head or break dudes bow for him eather. And a bit heavy draw for me as well...she kinda started to lose arrow speed about half way through the shooting session. When he downstrung it both limbs still looked like they were braced up....But they are a great piece of archery history.....in the things not to do section..............bowdoc
