I had a friend showed  me a old bear that was gave to him and it says it is 45# @ 28". This bow is a T/D. I beleive it is a early 70's model judging by the coin on it. Anyone know anything about it? Thanks for any info.

If it has a narrow magnesium handle and the limbs just slip into the pockets on either end of the riser it is either a Bear 76'er or a Minuteman. If the limbs are solid fiberglass it is a 76'er. If the limbs are wood and glass laminations it is a Minuteman.

Thanks Snakeeater, It has the wood and glass limbs. somebody gave it a camo paint job so it needs cleaned up.

They came out in the mid-70's, a few years before the bicentennial, thus the 76'er and and Minuteman names.

You have a good bow there. It will stand you in good stead for both deer hunting, bowfishing, and even wingshooting.
