I recently bought a 66", 50xx lb. Ben Pearson model 972 Pinto recurve(early 60's I think). The string it came with is 59" long and braces the bow at 9.25" (too short). The recommended brace height is 7 1/2" to 8". I want to order a flemish twist string for it but I don't know how long to order it to achieve the desired brace height. I know that the string can be twisted to increase the brace height, but I would like to be in the ballpark when I order it. Does anyone know what length string I should order?  Thanks.....Chuck

Measure from nock to nock on the belly side(side facing you while shoooting)along the curves. The string should be 5" shorter than the nock to nock measuremnt.

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.

Good choice on a bow.  I always felt that if you can get a hunting weight in a tournament bow, they should make great hunting bow.  More SMOOOOOTH!  The only drawback is that they are usually have white limbs.  The answer to that is SNAKESKINS for camoflage. They are spandex covers that really do not effect the shooting.

I have several 66" JACK HOWARD strings that are specially made for the JACK HOWARD GAMEMASTER JET.  It would probably work well if you would like to try one.

I hope you can make it to the TBG banqueton Saturday night
