Who knows how to make it?

rastaman

i make it by frying up ham first.  Take the ham out of the frying pan, add from a teaspoon to a tablespoonful of water per slice of ham to the frying pan.  Let it simmer to your consistency and serve.  That's how we do it in my "neighborhood".  i think the proper way is to use perked coffee instead of water and simmer to consistency...simple either way!    :)

Yep, me too. Fry up a nice thick slice of country ham, take the ham from the pan & 'de-glaze' the pan with 1/2 a cup of strong perked coffee. I usually add a teaspoon of light brown sugar & then reduce to a 'silky' consistency.
