except paint(which will happen soon enough) I have the cooker and trailer done.  I have to cut the cooker loose and move it back about 20" on the trailer to balance it out because it was way to tongue heavy.  I can now move it by hand or with my 4 wheeler.  I also put a deck/platform on the off side to stack wood on and I added the fenders.  Oh, I put new tires on to, these ones hold AIR!

Now that the yard has dried up a bit I was also able to put it in the back yard where it belongs.  I wish I could have you all over for a BBQ cause I am just itching to cook a whole hog in this gem.

This was quite a project but I have always wanted a PIT so I am happy to have it done.  I think I will build something like a custom pot rack next.  Something that I can put in my truck and bring home.

Nice work. Looks like there's going to be some good food come out of it.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

That looks really pretty Bobby.  Great job, and nicely balanced now.  I like the curled wrought iron shelf support in the front, very classy effect.  Now lets fire it up!!!!!!

It looks great to me.  What other options are being considered in the future?   A Frame to hold a sun shade or to stay dry maybe?  Where do you carry spare dry wood?

Bobby Urban

Flinch - I plan to make up wrought Iron rails and pickets to have a wood and charcoal basket on part of that deck.  I am also planning to paint the cooker and trailer.  I have seasoned the fire box with Crisco by getting it real hot and greasing it up like a cast iron pan.  It took a real nice finish.  I will post some food picks on here after I get back from my vacation this week.  We are planning a part soon and I am the Food Provider!

Al - those are actually fire box tools hanging from the rack that I made.  One is a poker and the other is a scraper to keep the fire box cooking.

Bobby, I consider your post as an invitation   ;)

If I'll be in your area   ;)   I'd like to have my steak medium.

Been on vacation in Tobago West Indies since you posted Elmer but just to make sure you know...  There is always enough meat on when I am smoking ribs to feed another so although Germany is a long ways from Central Michigan, if you are ever close look me up and we will fire the Cooker.

You are always welcome at my place

Looks great!

What kind of trees are those in the background of the 3rd photo? The white ones.

Tommy - Good Question?  I will have to ask my neighbor because they are something he planted?

They are only like that for a few weeks and then go green I think but I will check them out and will take a recent pic.

Look like ornamental pears, bradford maybe.

Nice looking grill.  Looks like a lot of thought went into that.
