looking for a more consistent anchor point

I shoot split finger and im looking for a more consistent anchor point. any tips would help

I don't know where you are anchoring, but...
I find the middle finger at the corner of my mouth, to be about as consistant as it gets. (IMHO) my index finger is right next to my nose, and my ring finger is in the "crease" above my chin.
I find it creates a very solid & comfortable anchor against my face. Hope this helps!

I have the same question... How do you know that you're overdrawing ?

If you are shooting 3 fletch try shoot cock feather in. That should position the top hen feather to touch the tip of your nose. I found that to be a really good second anchor for me.

Second anchor works best for me. Took a long while to find mine - base of thumb knuckle to earlobe, cock feather to nose. Not the tip of mose, in my case, but till nose touches feather where it naturally does. Thumb knuckle takes care of the draw length, nose to feather the head/eye positioning.

I recently got a tip about primary/secondary anchor that helped me a bit.


My first anchor used to be middle finger to corner of mouth then my secondary anchor was fitting my thumb along my jaw bone.  Then I got some advice that since my jaw bone is a bone and the corner of my mouth is a soft pile of skin and muscle that moves around, it would be better to make my primary anchor my thumb to jaw bone then find my secondary middle finger to corner mouth anchor.

A small change that improved my draw sequence, ymmv
